Unfortunately, I didn't have phone/e-mail access on my dad's actual birthday (the photo below should give you a clue about where I was), so let me take a moment to say (a few days late) ...

We had a great birthday celebration weekend, but it wasn't the same without you. We'll just have to re-create it when you're home - in just a few days! Enjoy the rest of your time in Africa and don't work tooooo hard.
